Special Alert Novermber 2009: Western conifer seed bug
Before submitting a report, check to see if this is your insect:
Western conifer seed bug - NOT the Asian longhorned beetle! The Western conifer seed bug is an insect native to the West Coast. In the fall, these bugs look for warm spots to hibernate, and can often be found on window screens and the sides of buildings. While both insects have long antennae, Western conifer seed bugs are brown, not the shiny black of the Asian longhorned beetle. For more information, click here.
