Schools must include mosquito control...

Information for schools relative to aerial and ground spraying to reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases.

The following is the standard written notification that schools need to send home to parents and employees of schools, day care centers, and school age child care programs for the aerial application that was performed on 8/22/06. If there will be no school related activities for 5 consecutive days after the application, the notification does not need to be sent home.

Schools, daycare centers and school age chidcare programs located within the following areas should print and keep a copy of the approved emergency waiver for the August 7th aerial application.

Emergency Waver for Aerial and ground spraying to be used to reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases such as EEEv and WNv [PDF] (Extended until Friday September 15th, 2006)

The area includes:
Middleborough, Carver, Kingston, Plympton and Lakeville; and partial areas of the following towns: New Bedford, Acushnet, Duxbury, Halifax, Bridgewater, Raynham, Freetown,

Taunton, Rochester, Plymouth. 
Adjacent towns include:
Pembroke, Berkley, Dartmouth and Wareham.
